Sarah Jeffries (1932-2008) was of pivotal importance to the founding of Pharmacotherapy. Working as associate editor with founding editor Russell Miller, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Sarah created the original Pharmacotherapy styleguide and constantly strove to strengthen the writing in Pharmacotherapy with precision and clarity.

Over a period of 7 years, Sarah contributed articles of her own to the journal under the heading of “Editor's Craft.” We are republishing these articles online, confident that Sarah's advice to the writers of our early years will continue to help writers, new and old, to improve their writing skills and advance the understanding of pharmaceutical and medical science.
