Subscriber Problems (Atypon-Link [formerly Extenza])
- I can't log on to Atypon-Link and read Pharmacotherapy articles. All I can see are the abstracts and I'm asked to pay for PDFs. How can I view the PDFs for free? Isn't that part of my subscription?
- Yes, all subscribers may view the articles from Pharmacotherapy.
- If you are an individual subscriber or a member of ACCP, and you did not receive an email from Atypon-Link with your account information, or can no longer find it, you may go to http://www.atypon-link.com/action/doMailPassword and enter your email address in the email address field. You will be sent your access information in an email from extenza@literatumonline.com. Once you have logged in, you'll need to activate your subscription. Use the Activate link at the top of the screen and then select Pharmacotherapy.
- If you are a member of a hospital, university or other organization with an institutional subscription and you cannot access articles, please have your director or a member of your IT staff contact the journal to register your IP range with us so that access can be set up.
-
- I have a login and password, but I still cannot login or download PDFs. What do I try next?
- Be sure that your browser's settings allow for pop-up windows and accept cookies. These two settings must be on to use Atypon Link. This PDF describes how to correct the settings.
-
- Why, when I create an account on Atypon, am I not able to access my subscription to Pharmacotherapy?
- Atypon-Link allows any user to create his own account; this allows a non-subscriber who wishes it to have access to the Tables of Contents and Abstracts of the many journals hosted on Atypon-Link. However, to access your subscription, you must use the account that we set up for you. If you did not receive an email from Atypon with your account information, or can no longer find it, you may go to http://www.atypon-link.com/action/doMailPassword and enter your email address in the email address field. You will be sent your access information in an email from extenza@literatumonline.com. If the system does not have a record of your email account, we may have registered you with an older account. Please email the journal staff at editor@pharmacotherapy.org for assistance. Please include your ACCP membership number when asking for help.
- Once you have logged in, you'll need to activate your subscription. Use the Activate link at the top of the screen and then select Pharmacotherapy.
-
- I don't like the password I was assigned. How can I change it?
- Log in to your account on Atypon-Link and click on the "My Profile" link at the top of the screen. You can edit your password, as well as other information about your account.
-
- I am a new member of ACCP. When can I expect to receive my login information for Pharmacotherapy online?
- ACCP regularly sends a new member updates to the journal office. The Pharmacotherapy office staff will have you registered on Atypon-Link in one or two business days. Once per month, we do a complete upload of the subscriber list. If you have any questions, please contact the journal staff at editor@pharmacotherapy.org.
-
- Can I receive the Table of Contents for Pharmacotherapy through email? If so, do I have to have a subscription to get it?
- Yes, you can receive the Table of Contents for Pharmacotherapy via email. And, no, you do not need to subscribe. You do need to have a (free) account on Atypon-Link. To register for our monthly Table of Contents (TOC) alert emails follow these steps:
- Go to http://www.atypon-link.com/PPI/loi/phco
- Log in to your account on Atypon-Link. (If you do not already have an account, click on the "Register" link under the Password field and register your free Atypon-Link account.)
- Click on the "My Profile" link near the top, center of the window
- Select "My Alerts" on the left side bar.
- Under "Journal Alerts" click on "Add new journal alert" and add Pharmacotherapy.
I am The librarian or administrator for our institution. How can I see usage statistics for our institutions use of the journal online?
Requirements:
- An individual user account needs to be created by clicking here: https://www.atypon-link.com/action/registration
You will need the Atypon-Link assigned customer number for your institution. If you do not have that, you may request it by emailing support@atypon-link.com. Please have your Pharmacotherapy customer number handy (it is on the mailling label, and consists of six digits); if you do not have your Pharmacotherapy customer number, please email the managing editor.
Steps to activate the librarian administrator view for your institution:
- Please go to http://www.atypon-link.com/
- Login with your username and password.
- Click "Activate" and it will take you to the "What would you like to activate?" page.
- Click "Institutional administrator account" and it will take to "Institutional Account Activation" page.
- Follow the instruction and submit the customer number (this is AtyponLink's reference number to identify you). You are now the librarian administrator of your institution.
- I haven't received my print copy of the journal in a while. What's up?
- If you have recently moved, we may not have received your change of address in time. For ACCP members, we receive a monthly update of member addresses, which is used in creating our mailing list. Make sure that ACCP has your current address.
- If you are a student, resident or fellowship member of ACCP, or have received a complementary membership following attendance at a meeting, then your membership includes online access only. In the Fall of 2007, the Board of Regents at ACCP decided that beginning in 2008, Pharmacotherapy will be provided to ACCP student, resident, and fellow members in electronic format only. This change took effect January 1, 2008. Any Student, Resident, or Fellow member who wishes to receive a print subscription to Pharmacotherapy as well can request it for an additional cost of $40.00 per year. This request should be made to ACCP, who will then pass on the request to the staff at Pharmacotherapy.
Where Is...?
- Where are the archives of past issues located?
- For subscribers, click on "Archives". All issues from January 1999 to the present may be found there.
-
- Where can I get permission to use Pharmacotherapy articles in my classroom?
- You can download the Permission form at this link and fax it to us at (617) 636-5390.
How do I pay my publication fee?
- Authors may pay their publication fee by credit card or account debit using PayPal. There is a link in the top menu bar of the site ("Publication Fee"), as well as a link on the left link bar of the Author & Reviewer page. Authors also have the option of sending a check. Please be sure to include your manuscript id number (e.g., 02-10-0054) on the check or in a cover letter.
Why does...?
- Why does a new window open when I click on "Archives"?
- We found that many subscribers who clicked on "Archives" link had trouble logging in when the Atypon-Link window was within a frame of our site. We changed the link so a new window opens up, which should solve the problem for these users.
